FROM MCS SISTER COLLEEN: “What is your greatest moment of awareness?”
THAT I CAN’T HELP EVERYONE WHO COMES TO ME FOR HELP– OR ASKS ME FOR HELP— I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THE CAREGIVER— TO ALL MY FAMILY & EVERYONE WHO ASKED ME FOR HELP— I FINALLY REALIZED I CAN’T HELP EVERYONE– SOME PEOPLE DON’T REALLY WANT HELP WHEN THEY ASK YOU FOR HELP!!!! 🙂 AND IF I TRY TO HELP EVERYONE ELSE– I CAN’T EVEN HELP MYSELF— I GET SEVERAL HUNDRED E-MAILS A MONTH FOR OTHERS WHO HAVE HEALTH PROBLEMS– THEY ASK ME ALL KINDS OF QUESTIONS & WANT ME TO HELP THEM— OVER THE YEARS— I HAVE GIVEN OF MYSELF– TO THE POINT– I HAD NOTHING ELSE TO GIVE– AS I WAS ALL GIVEN OUT— & MANY OF THESE PEOPLE DIDN’T REALLY WANT HELP—- THEY JUST WANTED ATTENTION— SO YES— WE CAN SHARE LOVE— BUT WE CAN’T ALWAYS HELP– OR CARE FOR OTHERS– SOME TIMES ALL WE CAN DO IS LISTEN & LOVE— & TRY TO BE THERE– & SOMETIMES ALL WE CAN DO IS LOVE & PRAY FOR THEM!!!

This was my epiphany that if I want more love I need to stop judging each person I meet as individual and separate from myself. I see it that there is one source of love and no one can stop me from tapping into that source except myself. If somehow I can stop holding grievances against other people, situations, organizations, industries, politics/governments…then I open up the possibility to feel the love that already exists.
How does one stop something that for me has been going on for over a half a century? The same way we change anything. AWARENESS. I can’t change something that I am unaware of. If your friend fell down the stairs and is laying there unconscious – would you get them medical attention? Of course you would —
