LAST NIGHT— GARY HAD BEEN HEADING BACK TOWARDS HOME—— & AS OUR HUSBANDS USUALLY KNOW SOMETIMES BEFORE WE DO— MY HEALTH WAS CRASHING——– HE SAID– I’M DRIVING HOME TONIGHT— WELL— WE HAD TALKED TO OUR NEIGHBOR WHO WAS WATCHING OUR HOME HERE IN BRANSON, MO. & HE SAID– 3 OR 4 INCHES OF SNOW IN BRANSON—- WE HAD TALKED ABOUT SPENDING MORE TIME ON THE GULF– & AVOID THE SNOW STORM—- BUT GARY SAID– I’M DRIVING HOME—-

WELL— HE DID—- BUT SOME PLACE ABOUT AN HOUR SOUTH OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS— WE RAN INTO MORE ROAD WORK– & A ONE LANE ROAD– & NO SHOULDERS— ON THE ROAD– & IT WAS PITCH BLACK OUTSIDE— NO HWY LIGHTS OR ANYTHING— & THEN THE SNOW STARTED— NOT SWEET LITTLE FLUFFY FLAKES COMING STRAIGHT DOWN– BUT THAT HARD– WIND &  SNOW DRIVING STRAIGHT INTO YOU– THAT BLINDS YOU & YOU CAN’T SEE ANY THING– & THE ROAD WAS GETTING COVERED — & YOU COULD NOT TELL WHERE THE ROAD EVEN WAS–& THE WIND BLOWING— & WE ARE IN BETWEEN TWO 18 WHEELERS– THROWING ICE & SNOW ON US—– & YOU COULD NOT TURN OFF– THE ROAD– AS YOU DIDN’T HAVE ANY SHOULDERS– & YOU COULD NOT EVEN TELL WHERE THE ROAD WAS FOR SURE— WE FOLLOWED THE TRACKS OF THE BIG TRUCK AHEAD OF US!!!  WE FOLLOWED IT INTO THE TRAFFIC OF LITTLE ROCK, ARK.– THAT WAS DOING ROAD WORK ALL THROUGH– THE AREA— FOR HOURS– & HOURS– GARY DROVE IN ROAD WORK– & BAD CONDITIONS– & WHEN THE SNOW WAS BLOWING SO HARD YOU COULD NOT SEE—-&  THE VOICE ON OUR GPS— SAID— YOU ARE BEHIND— SO MANY MINUTES– BUT YOU ARE ON THE FASTEST ROUTE!!!!!!!! I TOLD HER– ON THE GPS– TO STUFF IT UP HER LEFT NOSTRIL!!!  🙂

WHEN THE ROAD WAS SO GARY COULD SEE TO TURN OFF– HE WOULD PARK FOR A WHILE– & THEN HEAD OUT AGAIN—- IT WAS A MISERABLE NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  GARY DID WONDERFUL— THE DOGS TRAVELED WELL THE WHOLE TRIP—

AND WHEN WE GOT HOME— MY FEET & LEGS WERE SO SWOLLEN– I COULD HARDLY WALK— AFTER HAVING MY FEET UP ALL DAY– THEY ARE BETTER— BUT I HAVE MANY MANY MANY MCS SYMPTOMS — I’M DEALING WITH— 10 DAYS OF EXPOSURE  & RIDING– WAS TOOO MUCH FOR MY BODY— BUT IT SURE WAS A NICE TRIP——–

About sondasmcschatter

I was encouraged to start a blog as I suffer from MCS /multi chemical sensitivities & other health problems & I have helped several hundred others who suffer from MCS set up "Safe Homes" & given them encouragement & HOPE & share information & lots of laughs along the way also. When you choose to use fragrances, chemicals, or pesticides, You are not simply making a choice for yourself, You are making a choice for everyone around you!!!! What makes me an expert on MCS-- not a darn thing-- BUT have lived with it for years-& years- & have learned lots the HARD WAY-- by experience!! And want to give others help & HOPE & encouragement -- as I know there are not many who understand what it is to live with this illness- & ALL THAT GOES WITH IT!!! Internet has been my way of communication with many who we are confined to their "safe homes" all over the USA & other countries!! I have communicated with many HUNDRED by e-mail-- phone & letters & internet forums-- I hope this blog will help in a better way to share laughter-- hope & information!!! As for many are not any longer able to even leave their homes-- & communication is sooo important & sharing & encouragement & GIVING HOPE!!!

Thanks for sharing the lovely photos. it warmed me up just looking at the beach. I’d love anything cajun but unfortunately I added an allergy to peanuts to my list a few years ago. Take care of yourself. ❤

  2. Colleen says:

I’ll try not to be jealous. 😀

    • I USUALLY DON’T LIKE HOT THINGS—— BUT IT WAS GOOD—- GARY & I ATE THAT FRESH STEAMED SHRIMP– WITHOUT TALKING– & JUST LICKED OUR FINGERS
!!!! 🙂 BUT THE POTATOES & OLIVES– & PICKLES THAT WERE IN WITH THE CAJUN– PEANUTS– WERE SO GOOD– GARY & I LOVED IT— NEVER HAD THEM BEFORE!!!!!!!!! NEW EXPERIENCE!!!! 🙂

  3. Stephanie says:

Sounds like a wonderful trip (other than the drive home).

Your pictures warmed me up. It was -6 this morning and the temp might be up to 10 now. Those beaches look great.

I’m sorry you didn’t find a house. But who knows? One of these days you may stumble upon a listing for a perfect house and you will need to make another trip to sunny florida.

I am hoping you have a quick recovery and that Gary gets rested.

    • THANKS STEPHIE!!!!!!!!!! GARY & I WERE BOTH TALKING THIS MORNING WE COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH THE SALT WATER AIR– HELPED BOTH OF US–GARY WORKED IN CHEMICALS AT HIS JOB BEFORE HE RETIRED & HIS NOSE HAS SCAR TISSUE IN IT FROM THE CHEMICALS & ALWAYS HAS PROBLEMS BREATHING– & MY LUNGS HAVE BIG PROBLEMS FROM ALL THE YEARS AS A COSMETOLOGIST & OF COARSE MY MCS—-WE BOTH WERE ABLE TO BREATHE WHILE WE WERE ON THE COAST– & HAD ENERGY!!! AND THE CLIMATE & SEA WATER & SANDY BEACHES AGREED WITH US– SINCE OUR RETURN HOME– I HAVE HEARD FROM MANY OF OUR MCS SISTERS WHO LIVE ON THE COAST IN MANY DIFFERENT STATES & AREAS– ALL SAY THE SAME THING– THEY CAN BREATHE ALSO– WITH THE SEA AIR– ETC ETC ETC– THE SEA FOOD– THE FRESH FRUIT– & THE SALT WATER AIR– & THE SANDY BEACHES AGREED WITH US— SO WE WON’T RULE OUT ANYTHING– AS GARY ALWAYS SAYS– WE ARE NOT TREES– WE ARE NOT PLANTED ANY PLACE—- 🙂 WE WILL LET GOD DIRECT US!!!! 🙂

Wow, the pictures are beautiful, Sonda! I especially like the sunset ones by the beach, and the ones of the trees with moss hanging from them. Hate that you didn’t run across a house that suited your needs, but hey, one will come up if it’s meant to be! On your way home you passed right by our house! Well, probably pretty close by….Lol, I love how it’s a small world!
