Is there anything in the world that is black and white — no gray areas? I watched this black and white kitty hunt for mice in my yard. He didn’t ask permission to hunt on my land. He didn’t stop at the center of the tree and realize he had left my neighbor’s field and was now on my land. He had a purpose — his instinct drove him to hunt mice — there was no gray area.
I thought as I got older I would see the world with fewer gray areas — I would be certain of more things. I find that the opposite is true. When I was a kid I was positive that there were nine planets. It said so in my textbook. And then by a vote there are now only 8 planets. I memorized there were five kingdoms of classification.
