Yesterday, I wrote about my life 10 years ago and I mentioned the summer I said yes to everything. Well almost everything. Being a single mom — during the school year I devoted most of my time to my teaching career and raising my teenage son. During the summer I devoted most of my time catching up on house issues and raising my teenage son.
I really left nowhere in there for “me” time. And then I decided enough was enough. I decided to say yes to every invitation I received (unless it was illegal). I went to see a number of bands along the lake and under the stars. Met lots of new people. I was filthy from landscaping when a friend called to go to local flea markets.
