When I became disabled almost two years ago with MCS, I expected when it was announced I wasn’t going to be able to return to work that there would be such a flood of emails in my inbox that I would have to rest up to read them. Actually, it didn’t take me long to read the three short, “hope things work out” emails I received.
I’ve made a list of “maybe this is why no one emailed me” thoughts:
They were too busy.
They didn’t really like me in the first place.
They waited too long and then were embarrassed to contact me.
They felt shame that they didn’t listen when I told them that their perfume was making me sick and they wore it…
